It was a successful day for the livestock complex as traders remained committed to supporting the markets through Tuesday's end. A handful of cattle sold at steady prices with last week's weighted average, but largely the cash market still hasn't established a trend for this week.

Usda Weekly Crop Progress Report

Corn was 95% harvested and soybeans were 96% harvested as of Sunday, Nov. 10, according to USDA NASS' weekly Crop Progress report. Winter wheat was 91% planted and the crop was rated 44% good to excellent.

Throughout the day, some more cash cattle trade was reported, and Southern live cattle were marked at $187 and Northern dressed cattle at $294 -- both of which are $3 lower than last week's weighted average.
