ONT Farm Market News PM Livestock Summary for August 24 Here is the Country Auction Report as collected by the Beef Farmers of Ontario Wednesday. FED CATTLE: There were 492 head on offer at Denfield and the Ontario Stockyards. At the Ontario Stockyards, fed cattle, cows and bulls all sold steady. At Denfield, fed cattle sold fully steady. Beef cows sold steady while dairy cows sold slightly lower. Drop calves were also steady to last week's market. Large Steers:$178.00 - $198.00 Large Heifers:$178.00 - $195.00 Cows:$85.00 - $140.00 Veal over 450 lbs:$145.00 - $170.00 * REPLACEMENT CATTLE: There were 622 head on offer at OLEX. Feeder cattle sold on a stronger trade.
