FED CATTLE: There were 625 head on offer at OLEX and Brussels. At OLEX, fed steers and heifers sold at steady prices. Cows sold on a steady basis. At Brussels, beef veal calves sold on a strong and steady market. Holstein veal sold at prices $5.00 cwt higher, with top-end calves bringing a premium. Large Steers:$181.00 - $185.75 Large Heifers:$180.00 - $182.50 Cows:$98.00 - $122.00 Veal over 450 lbs:$200.00 - $230.00 * REPLACEMENT CATTLE: There were 1,150 head on offer at the Ontario Stockyards. A run of primarily Angus and Hereford cattle were on offer. British-influence steers traded fully steady to stronger while heifers sold steady.
